Although they live together very harmoniously, Aussie dad Harry is forever encouraging his gay son Jeff, to find a partner in life. Jeff is shy and finds it difficult to make friends, let alone find a like-minded partner. During the course of the play, they both experiment with relationships, but with differing, yet satisfying outcomes. This is a joyous, uplifting show about very ordinary people.

EVENTIDE

SEPTEMBER 17-OCTOBER 2 2021 | SEASON 2020 v2.0

WRITTEN BY BIANCA BUTLER REYNOLDS

DIRECTED BY NATE YOUNG

When Dex Murdoch is diagnosed with a brain tumour, his three estranged daughters converge on the family home in the small coastal town of Eventide, to be with him in his final days. On the same day as their arrival, a fairy penguin washes up on the beach outside Dex's home, miles from where he should be. Over the course of several days, tensions, secrets and an unexpected act of violence bubble to the surface of this fractured family.

Eventide is a meditation on sibling rivalry, father-daughter relationships, and what matters when you're forced to say goodbye.

WRITTEN BY ASHLEY WORSMAN

Our show takes place in the village of Story Book where we meet a range of characters in a high speed pantomime style production. It’s a show filled with some bad jokes, some good jokes, audience participation and plenty of songs to keep you entertained.

You will meet Red Riding Hood, the Evil Queen and the Big Bad Wolf who wants to eat Red for his lunch. Throw in other characters such as Granny, The Woodcutter, Robin and local villager Banter and you have a mixing bowl of madness just ready for baking!

Does everyone live happily ever after in our story? You will have to come along and see...
